Grégory Privat

A French-Caribbean jazz pianist, vocalist, and composer, Grégory Privat is known for blending contemporary jazz and singer/songwriter sounds with traditions from his native Martinique. Debuting with 2011's Ki Koté, Privat has garnered acclaim for his boundary-crossing albums like Tales of Cyparis and the duo project Luminescence with drummer Sonny Troupé. His subsequent work traces an evolving arc from 2016's trio album Family Tree to 2020's groove-heavy Soley through the introspective solo piano album Yonn, 2023's Nuit & Jour, and 2024's Phoenix, culminating with 2026's Darling, a collection of vocal-centric originals.
