After his original singer, nao, left in 2009, composer/producer/synth player Sat seamlessly replaced her with voice actor Nanjolno. ∙ When he started making his own music at age 14, Sat was a fan of popular artist/producer Tetsuya Komuro, who’s credited with introducing dance music to Japan. ∙ fripSide has written and recorded extensively for Japanese video games (including Hatsuyuki Sakura), manga (Girl Friend), and anime (To Aru Kagaku no Railgun). ∙ fripSide’s 2020 songs “final phase” and “dual existence” appear in the third season of the popular anime TV series A Certain Scientific Railgun.
