In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Skipping school while I was in high school and my friend playing me Sun Ra’s Space is the Place and Burning Spear’s Marcus Garvey back-to-back. Opened me up. Blew my mind.  What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Gene Clark, White Light (Remastered) Miles Davis, In a Silent Way The Staple Singers, Soul Folk In Action They all live in their own specific atmospheres, and they create their own space. Flowing, occasionally tense, and with resolve and joy and discovery.  What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? The thing that sits at the center when I think about the music part of my life is the road, traveling, all the miles I’ve covered. It’s a beautiful & complicated life. Watching the sun go down over the desert through the windshield of a Chevy van. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Tons and tons and tons of things. My bucket is impossible to empty, I’m trying to keep it that way.
