Other Lives

Oklahoma indie rockers Other Lives traffic in an amalgam of heady Baroque pop, brooding, windswept, electro-alt-rock, and Ennio Morricone-tinged Americana that's both sumptuous and rooted in darkness. Emerging in 2009, the band began to make waves in 2012 with the release of their well-received sophomore effort, Tamer Animals, and an opening slot on Radiohead's North American tour. They continued to expand their widescreen cinematic indie rock on subsequent efforts like Rituals (2015) and For Their Love (2020), both recorded after relocating to Portland, Oregon. The band returned to Stillwater, Oklahoma to record their fifth long-player, 2025's compelling and aptly named Volume V.
