Miel San Marcos

Miel San Marcos is a Christian praise-and-worship band from Guatemala that has found enormous success with Spanish-speaking US audiences. ∙ Siblings Josh, Samy, and Luis Morales formed the group in 2000 to provide music in their local church, and they released their debut album, He Ahi El Cordero, the following year. ∙ Their 2015 breakthrough, Como En El Cielo, reached No. 5 on Billboard’s Latin Pop Albums chart and won a Dove Award for Spanish Language Album of the Year. ∙ “No Hay Lugar Más Alto,” a track from Como En El Cielo featuring American Christian singer Christine D’Clario, won a Dove Award for Spanish Language Song of the Year. ∙ Recorded live at Madison Square Garden, 2017’s Pentecostés peaked at No. 4 on Billboard’s Latin Pop Albums chart and won a Dove Award for Spanish Album of the Year. ∙ In 2019, Miel San Marcos collaborated with the Australian CCM duo for KING & COUNTRY on a Spanish-language remake of their Grammy-winning hit “God Only Knows.” ∙ Babies (Música para bebés), the group’s 2019 children’s record, received a Dove Award nomination for Children’s Album of the Year.
