In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I went on family summer holidays to Morocco by car. During these trips, Riffian and Arabic music played against a backdrop of landscapes slowly turning red. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Don’t Bend” Growing up in the diaspora in a Western country, I found myself conforming to the dominant culture. I wrote this song as a personal mantra, a refusal to bend and an attempt to live unapologetically. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Touring in Morocco - the motherland of my parents - has been one of the most memorable and wholesome experiences so far.
