Harvey McKay

A Glasgow-born DJ and producer, Harvey McKay is known for intensely physical tracks that are full of emotion, whether pared down or intricately layered. Between 2008 and 2014, much of his output was issued on Soma, including his 2009 debut album, Machine Make Noise. However, 2013 brought the genesis of a game-changing relationship with Drumcode, which not only gave his profile a boost -- he would release some of the best-selling contemporaneous tracks in his genre -- but also led him to DJ regularly in mainland Europe, the U.S., and Canada. In 2017, he formed Alias (later renamed Alias GB) with his brother, Ryan, with whom he issued a handful of singles in the ensuing years. However, McKay's solo endeavors have remained his primary concern into the 2020s, during which he has issued his second production album, 2022's Anatomy of a Drum Machine, along with an assortment of EPs and singles.
