Laura Cox

In the space of a decade, Anglo-French guitarist Laura Cox went from teenaged bedroom cover artist to international acclaim, playing hard-rocking blues with a virtuosic mastery of her instrument. Born in 1990 in Paris, Cox launched a streaming video channel in 2006. Beginning with cover versions and graduating to writing and performing her own songs, she built up a huge following and considerable online acclaim in over seven years. She formed a band and played her first show in 2013, then recorded the albums Hard Blues Shot (2017) and Burning Bright (2019). The more laid-back, slightly bluegrass-influenced Head Above Water followed in 2023.
