In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Before I was born I was kicking along to the beat of music in the outside world. I knew rhythm before I knew language. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Dizraeli, Engurland (City Shanties) Durry, Suburban Legend Weezer, OK Human I love music with thoughtful lyrics, catchy hooks, and a giant wall of sound. I also love when artists push themselves to grow. On these albums the musicians explore new sounds and musical styles while reveling exactly who they are as artists. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Everybody Wants” Dynamics and a a strong message always get me. The layers of instrumentation and the build at the bridge of the song grab my ear each time I hear Everybody Wants. It also has a great music video. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Creating music with a Grammy Award winner and a U.S. Poet Laureate. I remember looking around the room and thinking, “how did I get here?” Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Play Red Rocks amphitheater. Tour internationally. Continue to make the world a more beautiful place through love, honesty and music.
