Manish Sonipat Aala is one of the artists reshaping the sound of Haryanvi pop since the mid 2020s. The composer, lyricist and singer, who broke through in 2023 with the Afrobeats-influenced “Aangli Hawa Me”, has helped broaden the listenership for contemporary music from his state through a forward-thinking incorporation of modern musical styles into the region’s rustic sonic template. He hit a purple patch in 2025 and 2026 when a run of singles including “Aakh Ye Taalibaani”, “Bholi Si Surat”, “Goli Naina Te” and “Kamar 28 Ki”—each featuring vocalist Bali Sharma and producer Vampire—connected with audiences across dairy fields, dorm rooms and clubs.
