Juss’s success shows that sometimes it pays to defy convention. Unlike many other Punjabi singers and songwriters who dabble in multiple genres, Juss sticks to a core pop sound, works with only one producer—the hit-making MixSingh—and releases just a handful of songs every year. This approach has yielded strong results for the vocalist and lyricist, who debuted in 2022 with the melancholic ballad “Koi Mere Warga”, scored a hit that same year with “Safar” and gained a nationwide fanbase with the irresistible “Suniyan Suniyan”, which hit the top three on Apple Music in India.
