Prostitute

Hailing from Dearborn, Michigan, hardcore/noise rock band Prostitute fold Middle Eastern musical influences into an already chaotic sound. Although abrasive, the music retains a degree of groove, and the lyrics are informed by the perspective of living as an Arab American. The resulting sound is as intoxicating as it is confrontational. The band was formed in 2020 by vocalist Moe Kazra and drummer Andrew Kaster. They cut their teeth playing house parties and small venues, where their explosive live performances were hard to ignore. It didn't take long to establish themselves within the local scene, but the release of their debut single, 2023's "Judge," put them on the noise rock map across America. Using much of their early material, a full-length album came together in 2024, Attempted Martyr. They self-released the record, but had already caught the attention of labels. They signed to Mute in 2025, which released the album globally the following year.
