My Wife's An Angel

Self-described as "Appalachian no wave" and "honest rockers," My Wife's an Angel almost dares listeners to make sense of categorizing them. The group have been mainstays of Philadelphia's underground scene since 2023. Their bizarre, sonically abrasive tunes (often augmented with outlandish sound effects) are augmented with vaguely impenetrable titles ("Goz Chile," "Smokin's for the Poor," "Ol' Man Shleep") and lyrical vignettes impersonating the more colorfully maladjusted male caricatures of America. After the punky debut Don't Fall Asleep (2023), the group earned further attention from independent press after signing to Knife Hits Records and releasing the albums Yeah, I Bet (2025) and the eye-poppingly titled Keep Honking I'm Going to F*****g Kill Myself (2026). My Wife's an Angel continue their stream-of-consciousness journey through the dark heart of the City of Brotherly Love with extensive D.I.Y. touring throughout the United States. ~ Mike Duquette
