Celestial Scourge

The rapid-fire guitar churn, polyrhythmic percussive onslaught, and hellish vocals of Norwegian quintet Celestial Scourge represent the cream of the country's technical death metal scene. The lyrics and aesthetic of their debut EP, Dimensions Unfurled (2023), dabbled in matters of the cosmos while still sounding like barbaric transmissions from the depths of the underworld. The full-length follow-up, Observers of the Inevitable, released in 2025, further outlined their pummeling but precise style.
