Elijah McLaughlin Ensemble

The Elijah McLaughlin Ensemble is a Chicago-based trio comprised of guitar, upright bass, and hammered dulcimer that melds American primitive guitar styles with vanguard jazz and modern classical music. Their self-titled debut album was recorded at Chicago's Fine Arts Building and released in 2020. II was also recorded there on a 1/2" vintage tape machine in four long, mostly improvised sessions that were boiled down to nine tunes and issued by Tompkins Square in September 2022.
