About Jonathan Wilson
Jonathan Wilson is a musical polymath, a highly regarded songwriter, a respected instrumentalist, and a noted producer deeply influenced by late-'60s West Coast psychedelia and the Laurel Canyon singer/songwriter scene of the '70s. The softly trippy production and loose, languid songs of 2011's Gentle Spirit first put him on the map. 2013's Fanfare was steeped in psych influences from both sides of the Atlantic, played by an all-star cast of musicians. Wilson was chosen to produce Roy Harper's 2013 comeback Man & Myth and handled sessions for an abundance of indie artists including Father John Misty. 2018's Rare Birds offered a dazzling array of sounds and production strategies in a thematic album about heartbreak. 2020's Dixie Blur was cut in Nashville with Music City studio aces and producer Pat Sansone (Wilco). In 2023, he issued Eat the Worm.
