Spite House

A roaring post-hardcore band from Montreal, Spite House play intense, cathartic rock music full of emotions every bit as intense as their sound. Guitarist and lead singer Max Lajoie formed the band in the wake of a personal tragedy, and both pain and perseverance, expressed with forceful intelligence, informed the songs on their self-titled debut album, released in 2022. They sounded even more precise without sacrificing their power on 2025's Desertion.
