Traitors

An uncompromising deathcore unit from South Florida, Traitors combine turgid, downtempo riffage and massive breakdowns with nihilistic lyrics that address themes of mental illness, isolation, and societal discord. Founded in 2013 and led by vocalist Tyler Shelton, Traitors issued their debut EP, Night Terrors, in 2015. Their first long-player, The Hate Campaign, appeared the following year and helped propel the group to the forefront of the burgeoning downtempo deathcore scene alongside contemporaries like Black Tongue and Bound in Fear. Traitors continued to push the needle into the red on 2019's Repent and 2025's assured Phobias.
