The Laughing Chimes

Formed by brothers Evan and Quinn Seurkamp, southeastern Ohio band the Laughing Chimes call on the bright jangle of multiple generations of college rock and indie pop for their sweetly melodic tunes. Echoes of the best of the Flying Nun roster met with R.E.M.-informed vocal harmonies on their 2021 debut album, In This Town, and the group began working with Slumberland for the release of their 2022 EP Zoo Avenue. In 2025, the band leaned into more of a gothic, college-rock voicing of their jangly sound on sophomore album Whispers in the Speech Machine.
