Sharada Shashidhar

Tying together inspirations that range from spiritual jazz and Indian classical music to abstract hip-hop and avant garde electronics, Sharada Shashidhar uses her melodious voice to deliver poetic yet plainspoken lyrics and wordless improvisations alike. The singer, composer, multi-instrumentalist, and producer released Rahu, her first EP, in 2020, and followed it four years later with the more widely acclaimed Soft Echoes. While those two projects saw release through Leaving Records, Shashidhar moved to Colorfield Records for the 2026 full-length A Foot on the Ground. The Los Angeles-based artist has also performed and recorded with the likes of Jamael Dean, Zeroh, the Pan-Afrikan Peoples Arkestra, and Carlos Niño, among others.
