Singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer Keiyaa creates avant-R&B infused with jazz, hip-hop, and experimental electronic music suited for both movement and rumination. Her intensely reflective songs are both inward and outward looking, examining mental health, physical intimacy, and the stressors of modern life. A wave of acclaim reached the Chicago native in 2020 with the release of Forever, Ya Girl, her independent debut album. Subsequently signed to XL Recordings, Keiyaa returned in 2025 with the more turbulent Hooke's Law. While her recordings are primarily solitary efforts, she's not averse to collaboration, having contributed to tracks by the likes of Armand Hammer, Mike, Nubya Garcia, and Loraine James.
