About Kiwi jr.

Canadian indie rockers Kiwi Jr.'s sound is one-part snarky melodicism and one-part C-86 jangle, with sprinklings of restless wit in their lyrics about house parties, strange friends, and suburban landscapes. The band took cues from a lineage of jangly slacker pop acts from the '80s and '90s for their bright and bounding 2019 debut Football Money, and signed on with Sub Pop for subsequent releases like 2022's new wave-leaning Chopper. 2026's straight-forward and poppy Blowin' Up was recorded in Michigan with local artists and released on K.
