In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. When I was 13, I took my very first guitar lesson from my Brother, Brett. He passed one year later and that was when I began song writing. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Angel Olsen, Burn Your Fire For No Witness João Gilberto, Stan Getz, Getz/Gilberto When I heard this record for the first time as a kid, I imagined myself as an adult in the future listening to Bossa Nova music in a robe and drinking coffee. hehe And this Angel Olsen record was the record that inspired me to start a band at 19. Both taken way too young. I speak to them directly in this song and wondering if they are free now on the other side.
