Moaning Lisa

Australian combo Moaning Lisa make visceral, big-hearted indie rock that borrows from '90s alt-pop, grunge, shoegaze, and punk. They originated out of Canberra in the late-2010s and self-released a pair of EPs which helped them net a deal with the BMG-affiliated label, Farmer & the Owl. The band's full-length debut, 2021's Something Like This But Not This, brought them to a much wider audience and cracked the Top 100 of the national ARIA chart. They followed it up in 2024 with the dark-toned Fainter.
