Employing a punishing and progressive blend of melody and might, Sacramento, California-based post-hardcore supergroup Royal Coda announced their formation in 2018 with the release of the single "Anything to Save." Their eponymous debut full-length, which trafficked in elements of progressive rock, psychedelic rock, and post-hardcore, arrived later that April on Blue Swan Records. Two more albums, Compassion and To Only a Few at First, were released in 2019 and 2022, respectively.
