Navigating influences including post-punk, shoegaze, Krautrock, and jangly indie pop, members of the BV's hail from Germany and the U.K. After debuting with the echoey, lo-fi Speaking from a Distance in 2017, they gradually upgraded production across albums including 2019's Cartography and 2024's taking pictures of taking pictures without distancing themselves from overcast inspirations.
