SAVE YOURSELF

SAVE YOURSELF

With Alabama roots and California cool, OMB Peezy has spent nearly a decade spitting and singing his truth over trap-inflected productions. Following the wintry warm-up BETTER AND BETTER, his second 2026 project SAVE YOURSELF arrives with no shortage of anecdotal narratives and lived-in wisdom. Whether embodying an unyielding loyalty mindset on “MY SAVAGES” or calling upon a higher power on the reverent “NEED A PRAYER,” Peezy comes across as authentically himself on these autobiographical cuts. A substantial dose of pain-rap vulnerability courses through “LANGUAGE BARRIER” and the thorny, interpersonal “STAY AWAY FROM ME,” while existential dread invades like a fog over the booming “STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN.” His interpolations here are especially satisfying, flipping The Fray’s balladic hit into something fresh and deeply felt on “SAVE YOUR LIFE” and upending a TLC classic on “WHAT SHE WANTS,” the latter bringing South Carolina’s own Trap Dickey into his world.
