A modern R&B staple and one of its greatest producers combine powers. Chlöe Bailey has been a staple of modern R&B since she first emerged in the mid-2010s alongside her sister. As Chloe x Halle, they matured from child stars into pop icons, a status that was solidified when the duo embarked upon solo careers and found just as much success independently as they did together. Still, Chlöe elevated to a new level in 2026 when she teamed up with one of rap and R&B’s greatest producers, Timbaland, for a collaborative project entitled Resurrection. Though the title suggests a reemergence of sorts, both artists operate at the peak of their powers. Instead, Chlöe spends the album cooking up tales that could revive any dormant romance. On opener “Talking Dirty,” she sings: “My heart speeding up and I can’t help myself/Come over and show what you mean.” On the disco-funk inspired “Better Than She Can,” the singer embraces a playful accent, asserting herself as the only main character in this story: “Hold on, wait a minute, why you wasting your time with them other women?”
