On “Life Been Hard,” the opener from his first project of 2026, Not One of Them, Hunxho’s words are swallowed by the morose Auto-Tune affixed to his delivery. He pays bond for a friend in trouble and raps about how he’s been broke 100 times, but it’d be a mistake to confuse his observations for wallowing. In 2025 alone, the Atlanta rapper dropped For Us and For Her 2, and while those albums were celebratory and sultry, respectfully, on Not One of Them he internalizes the trauma that’s come along with his rise from broke dreamer to rap superstar. “Everybody change when you get pape, you can’t even trust your mama,” he raps on “Free Da Press.” It’s a realization that would shake any success story, even a rapper as confident as Hunxho.
