The makers of BORDER 2—the 2026 sequel to the 1997 Hindi war film—have taken a different approach when recreating the modern classic’s hit songs such as “Ghar Kab Aaoge” and “Jaate Hue Lamhon”. They’ve retained the original lyrics and vocalists but added new verses rendered by current composing and singing stars like Mithoon, Sachet-Parampara, Vishal Mishra, Arijit Singh, B. Praak and Diljit Dosanjh, the latter of whom also acts in the movie. Consequently, the updated versions retain the essence of their source material—while the new tracks are as seeped in passion and patriotism as their predecessors.
