Memphis stalwart Finesse2tymes isn’t one to wait. Despite the title of his second album of 2025 being June’s Time Will Tell, he didn’t give his audience much of a grace period between releases. Stuck In My Ways arrived in March, and its predecessor, Art of War, four months before that. This run has helped establish Finesse as one of the preeminent stylists in modern Memphis rap, and on Time Will Tell, he continues that streak by embracing the moment and celebrating his unparalleled work ethic. On “Broad Day,” he raps triumphantly, “Yeah, I gotta die one day/But it ain’t gon’ be today.” Later, on album closer “Whatever,“ he declares, “Yeah, it’s time for this shit to transition now/They ain’t want me back then, they miss me now.”
