Beneath the satirical veneer, Peach Van Pletzen and Nix Nax’s second album is an expertly constructed and produced 15-track alternative Afrikaans opus. Flirting with bubblegum, EDM and disco melodies dripping in synth stylings, their dance-floor bangers could easily soundtrack vintage ‘80s exercise videos. Meanwhile, their ballads are introspective musings from two dudes who just want to love and be loved in return.
