Editors’ Notes Selhurst’s finest SL goes up against M1llionz on “Versus,” the heavyweight clash headlining The Agenda this week. “It came so natural to us,” SL says of striking up chemistry with the Birmingham spitter. “We linked up through mutual friends and this just came out, really quickly. It was about an hour of us going in back-to-back.” The result is a seesaw rally of polished flows taking the pair’s first collaboration to a ferocious high. The last year has proved especially prolific for the rapper—who dropped summer EP Selhurst SE25 and followed with debut studio album Different Dude three months later—coming as a surprise to all but the supposed introvert himself. “That idea comes from me wearing the mask, I think,” he admits. “Because I blew up wearing it, and I’ve stuck with it, there’s this idea that I stay low and keep underground. And I see that compared to other rappers, I don’t post [on social media] as much, I don’t drop as many visuals, but I’ve gotta say, this is just what works for me.” Elsewhere, new tracks fire up The Agenda from Kida Kudz, Miss Lafamilia, and Sonder and Jorja Smith.
