SKYLINE

SKYLINE

In New York, the demise of disco made way for the birth of hip hop, but in Chicago, a similar movement was being formed. This came to be known as house music. Coining its name from ‘The Warehouse’, a members-only queer club on South Jefferson St where the late, great Frankie Knuckles was the club’s resident DJ and pioneer of the sound that would later evolve from a behind closed doors experience to a global sound that took over the late 80s & 90s. House still finds it’s original Chicago influences all over the world in various fusion genres & multiple sub genres with it’s pioneered energetic, rhythmic & funky sound. SKYLINE pulls from the best of the 90s House wave including some of it’s origins with TRAX & Strictly Rhythm, new waves & remixes into ‘99. • Curated as always to play straight through at very high volume. tw: @theerkj • IG: @therkj
