Sam Smith describes the energy of their GLORIA the tour in three simple words: “Joy, art, sex.” The pop icon tells Apple Music that they've been waiting to put on a show like this their whole life, and they're especially antsy after years of lockdown. “For so long during the pandemic, people weren’t able to come together to experience a live event,” they say. “This show touches on all the senses and brings together the most spectacular chorus line of people.” The production features choreography by (LA)HORDE, a Marseille, France-based collective known for their boundary-pushing and political work, as well as show-stopping bespoke costumes by Valentino. For Smith, the performance is also a homecoming of sorts. “I can finally see my incredible fans and we can all celebrate Gloria together [in a way] that only the live experience can.”
