Editors’ Notes Nell formed in the early 2000s, a South Korean indie rock group inspired by the ringing guitars and heightened sensitivity of British alt-rockers like Radiohead and Placebo. Singer Kim Jong Wan's contemplative melodies and delicate, nostalgic lyrics have an emotional depth that captures all the nuances of the heart. And, like a heart, their music expands and contracts: Some songs swell stadium-sized, with giant choruses and soaring synths, while others are as hushed and intimate as being in a dark room alone.
