French composer and Oscar® nominee Maurice Jarre first gained international fame for scoring David Lean's legendary film Lawrence of Arabia. This fostered an ongoing collaboration with Lean; Jarre orchestrated lavish music for many of his other projects, including Doctor Zhivago and Ryan's Daughter. Later in his career, Jarre expanded his repertoire to match the times, utilizing synthesizers and other types of modern technology to soundtrack a new era of movies, like Fatal Attraction and Gorillas in the Mist.
