Fuelled by evocative melodies and the soaring vocals of Marco Antonio Solis, grupera legends Los Bukis fused norteño and cumbia rhythms with gritty guitar riffs and shimmering synths. Their elision of the traditional and modern made the band—who reunited to tour in 2021 after a 25-year break—pioneers of a new wave of Latin pop, anchored by their gift for capturing a cinematic sense of romance.
