Hip Hop History vol. 4: Transition Years 1990-1991

During these transition years the amount of Hip Hop music that was being released slowed down vs the prolific years prior. These two years saw the release of some classic albums from known artists and some debuts that would go on to be classics in their own right. These essential years produced two classics from A Tribe Called Quest, Ice Cube’s first album (fully produced by the Bomb Squad), Cypress Hill’s debut, and 3rd Bass’ Derelicts of Dialect. We also saw three important MC debuts: Treach, Tupac, and Nas, all of whom are in the upper echelon of MC’s.
