Boys Don’t Cry, or so the title of the sixth album from Murmansk-born MC Gone.Fludd (real name Alex Bund) would have you believe. However, his tear-streaked, melancholic hip-hop says otherwise. Full of minor key melodies and trap melodrama, his riveting rap sound is one of an artist not afraid to get in touch with his feelings. Whether trading bars with frequent sparring partner M00NCHILD or going it alone, his slick, soul-searching flows are at once club-ready and darkly intimate, mixing deep, grinding bass with Auto-Tuned vocal laments.
