Enya Essentials

Enya Brennan grew up with traditional Irish music in her blood: her older siblings formed the hugely popular band Clannad. But as a multi-instrumentalist with a love for studio experimentation, Enya started combining Celtic music and electronic sounds on her 1986 solo debut. Her 1988 follow-up, Watermark, made her an international star thanks to the memorable single "Orinoco Flow." Her ethereal, meditative music made her the biggest new age artist in the world, a status she maintained thanks to hit singles like "Only Time" and albums like the multi-platinum A Day Without Rain.
