Casting Crowns’ ability to soak up new influences has allowed their music to retain a potent freshness. At first, their big anthems struck a balance between the uplifting songcraft of Steven Curtis Chapman (co-producer of their third album) and the crunchy Christian rock of Audio Adrenaline and DC Talk. Eventually, Casting Crowns renewed their style by incorporating the kind of warm, folksy praise & worship associated with the David Crowder Band.
