A signed artist by her early teens, Becky G. scored her first chart hits, “Shower” and the Pitbull feature “Can’t Get Enough,” at the age of 17, setting the stage for an English-language pop career. Despite those early expectations, her journey instead led her to música urbana. “I got introduced to the scene at a very young age and I dabbled in a bunch of different styles,” she tells Apple Music. Following a 2015 US tour with J Balvin, she began logging major Latin hits with the empowering anthem “Mayores” with Bad Bunny and the silken reggaetón of “Sin Pijama,” a duet with Natti Natasha. Her all-Spanish debut album MALA SANTA broadened her sonic palette further, bridging her R&B influences with an urbano thump and heartfelt balladry.
