About NATTI NATASHA

With her sensual mix of smooth reggaetón and pop-boosted Latin trap, Natti Natasha melts hearts as easily as she ignites passions. Her smoky croon, smoldering on-screen energy, and slinky tales of love, lust, and adventure have all helped captivate fans far beyond the Spanish-speaking world—she demands attention, much like the strong female stars she idolized growing up in the Dominican Republic. Born in the bustling metropolis of Santiago de los Caballeros in 1986, Natalia Alexandra Gutiérrez Batista found her voice at church, then refined it by enrolling in the School of Fine Arts in Santiago at age eight. A love for trailblazers like Lauryn Hill and Ivy Queen inspired her to follow her own vision to New York City while she was still a teen, and there she met “El Rey” of reggaetón, Don Omar. She joined his Orfanato Records as Natti Natasha, and guested on his 2011 tropical chart-buster “Dutty Love.” But it wasn’t until she teamed up with Latin superstar Ozuna for 2017’s sweat-soaked “Criminal” that the depth of her sultriness was revealed to the globe. A delightfully risqué Becky G team-up followed (“Sin Pijama”), but Natasha’s 2019 debut album, IlumiNATTI, proved that when it comes to serving fiery bangers, this Dominicana can host the party solo.
