Alaclair Ensemble: Influences

Alaclair Ensemble: Influences

Alaclair Ensemble have drawn inspiration from artists who fill their music with joy, energy, and wit, regardless of what language they're speaking in. Klô Pelgag's "Samedi soir à la violence," for instance, is Québécois psych-folk with a political edge, while on "Shade," Manchester native IAMDDB sings and raps over harpsichord-like synths, favoring the same kind of unusual instrumentation on which Alaclair Ensemble have built their sound.
