About ZAY

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I remember making a comedic parody to "Work Out" by J. Cole. I was one of the only people to do something like it in my hometown at that time. Everybody loved it, it felt awesome to create something that had been so appreciated by others. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Juice WRLD, Goodbye & Good Riddance Trippie Redd, A Love Letter To You XXXTENTACION, 17 These three albums were what lead to my first musical epiphany/inspiration. It started with '17' by X, after that I had known I wanted to start making music. It was Juice and Trippie that helped me start to figure out my sound. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Gastronaut” It's not my most popular song at all, but personally it was and still is a big deal to me. It is the title song of my most iconic album, and it is also one of my most self-reflective songs. Every time I listen to it I unlock a memory. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? My first official release party, the one I threw for 'Gastronaut' is by far my most memorable moment. It was the first time I had thrown an event to specifically have people vibe and simply enjoy my music. The turnout was insane, the night was great. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? My dream as an artist has always been to pack out an entire stadium. I have always said the amount of people does not matter, but it would be surreal to hear hundreds of fans reciting the lyrics to any of my songs.
