Montreal-based vocalist/songwriter Young Troy first worked as a producer before taking on the role of a singer as half of the dark, druggy rap duo Frap Boyz. Along with partner B.Cliff, Young Troy released debut Frap Boyz EP Frap City in 2015, a highly collaborative collection of Cliff's trap-inflected bangers and Troy's more subdued, R&B-minded solo tracks. One of the songs from the EP, Troy's "All My Dogs," caught the attention of superstar Drake, who included the song on an episode of his OVO Sound Radio show in January of 2016. This massive exposure led to more recognition than ever for the young singer, and work began on new solo material. In 2017 his debut EP, Sometimes, arrived, with production help from Statik Selektah and Da-P. ~ Fred Thomas
