Eli Sostre

R&B singer, songwriter, and producer Eli Sostre hails from the same Marcy projects that were once home to JAY-Z. He makes melodic and accessible songs about love and overcoming the odds. • Sostre attended high school with his frequent producer and collaborator Soriano. They began making music together as teens and continued into their twenties. • In 2017, Sostre released the single “Cribbo,” coproduced by Vinylz, a Grammy winner and fellow Big Apple native who’s made hits for Drake, J. Cole, JAY-Z, and Jay Rock. • He’s toured and collaborated with fellow multi-threat Amir Obe. Sostre appears on “Still No Good,” from Obe’s lauded 2015 album Happening in the Grey Area. • Sostre scored a streaming hit with “New Addy,” off his 2017 Sleep Is For the Weak mixtape. He returned with Eros in 2019 and Emori in 2020.
