Young Ejecta

About Young Ejecta

Originally known as Ejecta, Young Ejecta is the sensual synth pop collaboration of producer Joel Ford and vocalist/songwriter Leanne Macomber. Ford has worked with a wide range of electronic-based acts, including Autre Ne Veut and Ford & Lopatin; Macomber has worked with Neon Indian as well as Fight Bite. They began collaborating in 2012. Beginning with the single "Jeremiah (The Denier)," Macomber and Ford conceived of Ejecta as a character that honed their lovelorn musings and hazy sonics into sweeping, emotive electropop. The full-length Dominae arrived in late 2013. The following year, the duo changed its name to Young Ejecta after getting a cease-and-desist order from Irish DJ Ejeca. Their first work under the new moniker was 2015's mini-album The Planet. ~ Heather Phares
