About YN Jay
Rapper YN Jay went viral in 2020 thanks to the libidinous (and hilarious) single “Coochie.” The song is very much indicative of the MIchigan rapper’s unique approach to hip-hop.
• Jay started rapping with his friends at age 10, and by his teens, he’d begun recording eight to 10 songs per day. He decided to take rap seriously after the death of his older brother, Gabe.
• In 2019, he released his seven-song debut project, MVP.
• The world caught wind of YN Jay in 2020, when “Coochie,” featuring Louie Ray, became a viral hit. Jay and Ray created the song while quarantining together during the COVID-19 pandemic.
• He capitalized on the success of “Coochie” by dropping three projects before the end of 2020: Coochie Land, Watch This, and The Scouts, a joint effort with Louie Ray. He also teamed up with Lil Yachty for the single “HAHAHA.”
